Making Money

Sea Trading marketplace is available to you at Level 5.

There are many, many high-level players who will pick up all sorts of very basic items in the market, just to save themselves time or production hassle. For example, their workshops are all busy crafting items with crafting times of an hour or more, but they need plain torches or ladders for an exploration. If these things are available in the market, they'll be snapped up in a heartbeat!

Same goes for your other workshops. Basic items like cheese from your dairy barn, plain gloves from your tailor, and cheese omelets and apple oatmeal from your trail kitchen, will all be eagerly welcomed in the market.
Even if your workshops are all busy, generating some extra eggs, milk, wool, carrots...whatever you can...can earn you coin, although admittedly not as much as finished products will. Once you get a blueberry patch, this is a great one, as blueberries sell at a decent price, aren't used in many low level quests, and are always in demand because of their long growing time.

Open Treasure Chests
Treasure chests are like the game's happy little surprises. Sometimes they're given to you, sometimes you uncover them as you claim pieces of land, but they basically represent happy little freebies placed there for you by the developers. Note that you can't always see all of the treasure chests available on a plot of land until you clear it of trees. So if you prefer to keep some of your trees, just know that you may be missing a chest or two. Not a huge deal, but something to keep in mind.

You get your first treasure chest immediately after rebuilding the Royal Vault. It contains 50 crowns and 600royal coin. After that, every day you'll get a new treasure chest in front of your vault, about 24 hours after you opened the previous day's chest.

Pearls
Once you reach Level 20 and claim the plot of land underlying Liang the Dragon Merchant's balloon, you will have access to an in-game currency called Pearls. Pearls are used to purchase many different heroes for your collection, and like the heroes you earn by rescuing them, each has its own strengths and weaknesses at the various Places of Legend. (See the individual pages for each Place of Legend to see an analysis who has what probability of bringing back various items).

Pearls come in three colors: White, Black & Gold, in descending order of commonness.

Below is a list of heroes currently available to be purchased with pearls, and their purchase prices. They are listed in the order in which they become available (determined by your Level in the game). If a hero name is pink, they have their own page on this site and you can read more about them by clicking the pink link.
